What will you knit from the upcoming issue?
The pattern previews for our June/July 2012 issue are online! The cover project, the Cherry Shawl, is winning the race for "next project". It's a cuddly coverup for too-cold office buildings, but will transition easily to brighten up an early fall outfit. Here in San Francisco, of course, we get to wear cozy clothes almost all year 'round, so it's both cute and practical.
Speaking of San Francisco, another pattern on my "knit soon!" list is the San Francisco Cable Cowl. It has reversible cables, which I've never tried, in an otherwise simple knit, so I'll be able to learn a new skill in a calm context. (Our travel feature showcases five patterns, any of which I'd be happy to wear!)
The project I'll probably cast on first, though, is small and sweet: Tie-the-Knot Gloves, one of several charming patterns in our wedding story. In white, they'll set off colorful nail art, but knit in other colors they will add their own bit of flash to an outfit.
Clearly I'm biased, since this is the first issue of Your Knitting Life that I've seen through from start to finish. So tell me: What has caught your eye in the new issue?
