Criss-Cross Scarf
A soft and lofty scarf that'll come in handy for the coldest days.

YARN
RED HEART BOUTIQUE BIG & LITE, 2½oz/70g balls each approx 58 yd/53m (62% acrylic, 26% new wool, 12% polyester)
5 balls in #9529 Dark Teal

KNITTING NEEDLES
1 pair size 15 (10mm) knitting needles or any size to obtain correct gauge
1 pair size 11 (8mm) knitting needles for Double Knit Fringe
NOTIONS
Stitch markers
Yarn needle
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
7"/18cm wide by 52"/132cm long, not including fringe
GAUGE
15 sts and 12 rows = 4"/10cm in pattern stitch using larger needles
Remember to check gauge for best results!
HOW TO MAKE A GAUGE SWATCH
With larger needles, cast on 16 sts.
Row 1 (right side) K1, *slip 1, k1, pass slipped st to left-hand needle over st just knit and knit through back loop, drop slipped st from needle; repeat from * across to last st, k1.
Row 2 *P2tog without dropping from left-hand needle, knit first st again, drop both sts from left-hand ; repeat from * across.
Repeat Rows 1–2 for pattern st until piece measures 4"/10cm.
Bind off.
Resulting gauge swatch should measure 4¼"/10.5cm x 4"/10cm. If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
