We turned a vintage dress coat into an elegant christening gown, adding modern details to its delicate stitch pattern.

SMC SELECT Violena, 1.75oz/50g balls, each approx 109yd/100m (50% cotton, 50% modal)

  • 3 (4, 4, 4) balls #01625 Natural
KNITTING NEEDLES
  • 1 size 5 (3.75mm) circular (circ) needle, 16"/40.5cm, or any size to obtain correct gauge 
  • 1 size 5 (3.75mm) double-pointed knitting needles (dpns)
NOTIONS
  • 3yd/3m satin ribbon, 1/8"/4mm wide
  • Stitch holders
  • Stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
